Sculpture and Sound Installation: Wappen Field |
Wappen Field is a sculpture and sound installation comprised of 12 chrome plated steel helmets resembling face guards. Running through SuperCollider each helmet’s dedicated speaker animates the room with vocals and extended voice techniques created for this work by Ayelet Rose Gottlieb. The sonic configuration imagines the collective unconscious as energy propelled between the yin and yang impulses of the universe.

Site Specific Installation: Bed of Nails, Iraq 4000 |
In the corner of a room at Djerassi, 4000 Nails are installed in an exponential progression, on the date of March 23, 2008, marking the official death toll of the 4000th US soldier to die in Iraq. This death toll number does not reflect the alarming amount of soldier suicides, nor does it represent, the more than 35,000 soldiers brutally dismembered & maimed by IED's.

Site Specific Installation: Between the Clock and the Bed |
In this installation I respond to the site-specific space. I draw attention to architectural elements, the eye would ordinarily dismiss, such as heating ducts, corners, windowsills, & columns.
I made seventeen interventions in the space, akin to musical notes, phrases & pauses, with an eye to coax out the sculptural qualities of both the room architecture & the mundane, common everyday materials used.

Booth Project |
The Booth Project is a Sound Work, installed in a Telephone Booth, as part of the Electro Acoustic Music Festival at Brooklyn College in April 2005. It is the final work I composed in MaxMSP at the end of my year as Artist-in-Residence to the Computer Music Department at Brooklyn College, New York.
